How it got started 

After 20 years of non stop bleaching and hair loss from after children, Fiona was left with very little hair in comparison her thick hair when she was younger. As a hair stylist she was often suggesting clip-in hair extensions to her clients or even when she was styling her own hair, even with the right technique and tools it was constantly left looking flat and limp, simply because there is not enough volume of hair. She too would often use clip extensions but it was too troublesome to use everyday. Which had her thinking, “surely my clients and I are not the only ones to have this problem”. Which is why adding hair extensions to the list of services is so complimentary. The hair extensions are so beautiful and comfortable to wear and it is not damaging at all to the hair. It will bring a new found confidence the wearer.

Frequently asked Questions 

 

  • We have tried and sourced multiple brands of hair extensions. We only partner with the highest quality and value for money. We also were conscious about only using hair that has been sourced ethically. The one we are currently using is from the US.

  • We are certified and educated in a range of different techniques. We mainly do invisible wefts and i-tips, which are the least damaging and invasive to your hair.

  • Absolutely not. This was the number one priority in going ahead with hair extensions, as we want to look after the little hair that is left and not damage any hair in the process. Both methods use a small bead, which is lined with silicon. It will protect the hair when we clamp your hair with the extension. No further hair will be snapped off during the application, harmful chemicals are needed to dissolve the tape or glue.

  • The actual hair itself is dependent on how you take care of the extension. It is real hair, so the more you look after it, the longer it will last.

    Wefts - up to 12 months

    I-tips — up to 6 months

  • It will depend on how much hair is needed and the method. Whether it is just to thicken the hair slightly or to add a large amount of length.

    Wefts — 2 hours

    I-tips — 2.5 to 4 hours

  • It is best to colour the hair right before your appointments. You can certainly colour your hair with the extensions but keep in mind you will be compromising the integrity of the hair extension the more often you do this.

  • Yes you can, using air tools like hair dryers or air wraps, close to the root is ok. However straighteners and curling wands too close to the root might melt the bead and permanently damage the hair extension and new hair will need to be purchased.

  • We recommend using a soft bristles hair brush to detangle and brush your hair everyday. We suggest a tangle teaser or a mix bore bristle brush. Using a comb or hard plastic brush will damage the beads and the wefts. If your beads or your weft needs to be reinstalled again, a maintenance appointment will need to be charged.

  • Every 6 weeks. Any appointments that are beyond the 6 weeks a new installation service will be charged instead of a maintenance appointment. The reason why its so important for us to see you again is because your hair will become matted if left too long (think of dreadlocks). We will move the bead back up close to the scalp.

  • Wefts — 30 mins -$80

    I—tips — full head 2 hours $300

    I—tips — half head 1 hour $150

  • Yes you can, we will need do an in person consultation to see if the hair is reusable and if it is a good colour match. We will advise if it’s not suitable and new hair extensions will need to be purchased.

  • We offer a technique that is tension free and super comfortable to wear for weeks to come. It will however, feel heavier than what you’re used to and you may notice the beads in your hair the first 1-2 night’s sleep. Drying your hair after washing will take longer.

  • Good quality human hair is very expensive and it will depend on your current hair density and your desired hair goals.

  • You can submit an enquiry form via the contacts page to set up an in person consultation. We will message you to arrange an appointment.

  • We can discuss your hair goals and what is the best way to proceed. We can colour match your hair, the reason why we do this in person and not online or via text is because it is hard to match your colour exactly as lighting can distort the colour. We also need to see the condition and density of hair to advise how much hair to purchase.

    We cannot refund or exchange the hair once we have decided and placed an order.

    We also suggest to have your hair coloured to your desired colour before coming to the in person consultation.

  • After the in person consultation, we will order the hair and it will take 5 business days to arrive at the studio.

    To go ahead with the installation appointment, we will require 50% of the total hair extension fee. (hair + service)
